Breaking News!!
If you are thinking that in this blog I am going to give u some typical sensational news that the breaking news gives us now a days, u wld be a lil disappointed.
I would rather like to everyone who comes across this blog to ponder over the fact that do v really want to watch wat we r getting. (Would be lucky if sum news editors come across this article.)
The first time I saw a breaking news on tv was in 2001 during the September 11 blasts in US.
That news left the entire world aghast, made us realize that for the various terrorist groups even the world's superpower is invincible. It left a deep impact on our minds. What we got was live reporting.
Now picture this:
Breaking News-"Sai baba speaks" Which we later get to know was nothing else but a som camera
“Aarushi had illegitimate relationships with hemraj” How can such aspersions be made on a young girl with no evidence.
What one can conclude is that only for trps news channels today have become more like daily soaps.
Rather than giving some substantial news, what they show is sensational crap. A every common defense is that people want it!!
But do we really have time for such BREAKING NEWS??
It is time that news editors realize that the news telecasted has a major influence on the viewers.
The news shown goes a long way in helping form opinions. Hence, rather than breaking news to increase trps news channels should give its audience some real stuff.
